Directions

By road from London

Take the M3 south west towards Southampton, merge on to the M27 towards Bournemouth & the south west. The M27 becomes the A31  and continues through the New Forest until Ringwood where you will be directed right to the road to Dorchester and the A35. Continue on the A35 around Dorchester following the signs to Bridport & Honiton. After approx. 12 miles take the left hand turn signposted Shipton Gorge/Burton Bradstock. Continue through Shipton Gorge and Burton Bradstock to the B3157. Turn left down hill and over a small bridge where a brown sign will direct you right up Cliff Road to The Seaside Boarding House.

By road from Bristol

Take the M5 south towards Taunton. At J25 take the A358 towards Taunton/Honiton/Yeovil. Continue on the A358 until Axminster and signposts to Dorchester & the A35. Turn left on the A35 to Bridport, approx. 14 miles. At the first Bridport roundabout take the third exit to Burton Bradstock and continue through the village and over the bridge. After the bridge is a right hand turn up Cliff Road to The Seaside Boarding House.

By Rail

Direct trains run twice an hour from London Waterloo to Dorchester South or once an hour from London Waterloo to Crewkerne and take approximately 2 ½ hours. Both stations are approx. half an hour’s taxi ride from The Seaside Boarding House. (Please note that Crewkerne and Dorchester are on different train lines, which can prove useful if work is being done on one or other of the lines at weekends.)
